My Take on The Allen Residences
Designed by internationally acclaimed architects HOK, The Allen is one of the most striking additions to Houston’s skyline in quite some time. It's set just west of downtown and there are no other tall buildings between the Allen and downtown so the skyline views from that side of the building are amazing. Even the North and South units can enjoy the skyline from their corner terraces.
These condominiums feel more like luxury estate homes in the sky than high-rise condos. You can really tell the difference as soon as you walk through the door. The first thing you'll probably notice is how high the ceilings are, and how the foyers are wide and really more of an art gallery than a simple entry. You'll find top notch Thermador® & Gaggenau appliances, custom Italian Pedini cabinetry, spa-inspired bathrooms, and open layouts that showcase the walls of windows with views of downtown Houston, River Oaks, and Buffalo Bayou Park.

Owners have a private entry with a dedicated doorman and valet away from the hotel and restaurants. Residents here also enjoy a private lounge, wellness center, indoor plunge pool, rooftop terraces, outdoor lounge, game room and a business center. The outdoor pool deck and fitness center are shared with the hotel guests.
What types of condos are available?Residences range from spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts to palatial penthouses that can be delivered finished or as a customizable shell space.
Can I lease out my condo at The Allen nightly?No. This is a luxury residential high-rise, and the HOA forbids nightly rentals. You don't want to have to compete with the on-site Thompson Hotel anyway! That said, the building is rental friendly and long-term rentals are allowed as long as the building's rental cap hasn't been met.
