My Take on The Royalton

The Royalton is a 33-floor high-rise, recognized for its modern architecture and the distinctive "crown" that tops the building. Located near River Oaks, it offers fantastic views of the entire Downtown and Uptown Houston skylines. It's also in a great location for hopping onto the Buffalo Bayou trails that take you to Downtown or over to Memorial Park. This full-service building offers premier amenities like 24/7 concierge, valet service, a well-equipped fitness center, pool and spa deck, theater room, a serene garden cocktail terrace, and an intimate private wine room. All of the common areas were refreshed recently which really helps the building feel more modern.
The Royalton is a great Houston building for pet owners because it has no restrictions on the number or weight of pets and there is a secure, gated dog park on site.
Inside the condos, you’ll find big open layouts with glass walls and big, usable balconies. The odd-numbered units face West for great sunset views, and the even-numbered units face East with terrific downtown views. One of the things I like most about The Royalton is that lot of the kitchens have floor to ceiling windows which is really unique. Where some buildings drop kitchens in the middle of the living room, or worse in a dark galley, The Royalton makes kitchens a place you want to spend time and enjoy.
The original condo finishes were nice but are looking a little dated these days. May units have been updated over the years though, and there's usually one or two for sale out of the 253 in the building. Speaking of that, this is a big Houston high-rise with a lot of residents so you For those who want a more boutique, higher-end River Oaks vibe buildings like The Huntingdon and The River Oaks offer a much more luxe experience. But The Royalton remains a terrific choice for high-rise living in a modern building in a very central location.
