My Take on 1999 McKinney

When 1999 McKinney went up in 2000 its unique stair-step design helped define the Uptown skyline and offered great views through the two-story wall of windows in each living area. That part has changed as Uptown grew up around the building over the last 25 years, and a lot of those skyline views have been lost. The exception are the corner units which have views in two directions. Some of those have amazing downtown and Victory skyline views. But even losing some views hasn't reduced the appeal of the building or the demand for these lofts, because along with that new development came a whole host of new restaurants, pubs and shops within easy walking distance. That's made 1999 McKinney one of the most walkable buildings in Dallas now.
The design of the lofts are also a big part of the appeal. If you want something a little different than the average luxury Uptown condo this and the nearby 2011 Cedar Springs should be on your list. The exposed concrete pillars, double-height ceilings and brick walls give these lofts an industrial-chic aesthetic. The large (2000+ square feet), two-story floorplans have a separate bedroom and full bath on the first floor plus a large primary suite and loft space upstairs. The loft space could be a second living area, office or gym giving great flexibility. The original finishes have help up really well but many of the units here have had new kitchens and baths put in over the years in a wide range of styles.
1999 isn't a full-service high amenity building but it does have the essentials. There's a saltwater pool, fitness center, secure parking and 24/7 front desk security. I've helped a lot of clients buy and sell at 1999 McKinney and would be happy to discuss if this building is right for you anytime.
