My Take on The Athena
by Emily Ray-Porter, Dallas high-rise specialist
The Athena brings high-rise living to North Dallas along Northwest Highway just down from Preston Tower, This tower went up in 1966 so the residences here are large but many are quite dated. If you grew up in Dallas chances are you or one of your friends had a grandparent at Athena or Preston Tower. But times have changed and these towers are now very centrally-located and demand for them is increasing, especially for units that face south with skyline views. You may have to do some updating but the price per square foot here is compelling if you're OK with the building's style.
Amenities at Athena include an indoor heated pool, exercise room, community room, and secure underground parking. A staffed front desk provides security and convenience, while the location near Preston Center offers easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment. Please note that Athena has a strict No Pets policy.
