My Take on The Parklane

The Parklane started life in 1983 as a luxury apartment tower, and it stayed that way for decades. Then around 2020 it was completely remodeled from top to bottom and relaunched as luxury condominiums for sale. All 209 units across 35 floors were completely renovated with new finishes worthy of Architectural Digest, including German-built Eggersmann® cabinetry, Bosch® and Thermador® appliances, and spa-like bathrooms. The common areas and extensive amenities were also renovated for the relaunch.
I like the big variety of floor plans here, and most of the units are pretty spacious. Even the one-bedrooms are close to 1000 square feet and up. When you get up to the 3 bedrooms you're well over 2000 square feet which is hard to find in a high-rise, especially at this price point. And the best part is that unlike some of Houston's other 1980's buildings The Parklane has 9' ceilings throughout, so the renovation really does feel like a new building.
When it comes to amenities you kind of get the best of both worlds here, because it feels like you're in a newer building but you get a huge number of amenities that most new buildings can't match . For instance there's a pool and cabana amenity deck with great views, a clubhouse, business center, tennis court, coffee bar and even an on-site dog park.
