Upper Kirby strikes a balance between upscale residential living and a thriving commercial scene. Think tree-lined streets, modern townhomes, high-rise and mid-rise condos, art galleries, and trendy boutiques. We've been told residents like Upper Kirby because it has a sophistication but no pretense which is hard to find. Real estate prices do tend to be higher than average for Houston thought due to the terrific location and increased demand. One of the drawbacks to living here is the constant traffic, but at least it's one of Houston's more walkable neighborhoods.
